Thanks! Yeah, you had a few issues contributing on a couple of different occasions. But, yours is another example of why formula *is* a nice option for people who *need* it, as opposed to those who use it because it's easier. Thanks for sharing, man!

Good post. I know in our situation breastfeeding was always rocky. With our first child, he would not take the breast and my wife dried up almost immeadiately. I believe missing this connection with the baby contributed to the depression she had at the time and was not fun at all. With our second son, she was able to breast feed and did. Both mom and baby had a much easier time partly because of this. We wanted to breast feed our third, but by that time my wife was on seizure medication and the medication levels were too high in her milk to safely feed the baby. Only that time, she kept producing milk and had to pump herself and toss the milk for most of the first 6 months. Not good times either. I wish we could have breast fed all three kids as I have done similair reading that shows many many benefits.

I'd think about it even without Hulu, just for the Netflix. We have that for the Wii and its great. But I don't want to drop the $$ to get a second Wii or other netflix enabled device, but $99 is just about doable.

And no one wants to OWN Hell's Kitchen. Some of us don't even want to watch it. He's just so mean!

Thanks for your coments, guys. I appreciate the support immensely.

I will definitely share, though I haven't decided on the way I will do it. I also take some inspiration from a man named Scott Sigler - if you haven't heard of him, you should check him out. As an independent writer, he decided to do a weekly blog serialization of his books, since the publishers weren't taking him on. Granted, it was right around the birth of "podcasting" in 2004/2005, but it was very successful. And, it led to him getting book deals. He's now a New York Times Bestseller.

Good luck. Writing a novel can be great, but it can suck -- a lot -- too. It takes a certain kind of crazy, and a whole lot of motivation. Finishing my first (if you can count my MA thesis) was rhe hardest writing I ever did.

Until I tried to do it again.

Looking forward to seeing some of it when you're ready to share!

Sorry we missed the party, but I wasn't feeling well this weekend and it was our anniversary. I look forward to similar feelings of accomplishment and joy from raising Kara.

Yeah, we'll probably be in for it when they're teenagers. But, I'm hoping there will be enough groundwork laid that he'll ultimately respect me and know that I come from a place where I have his best interests at heart. And that will hopefully see us through the difficult years. But I don't kid myself that we're going to have rocky roads! haha

So true, so true. It really is the little things that make all the difference in the world, isn't it? How can yuo ever stay mad at them when they look up at you (as you're yelling) and say "daddy?" "yes, Amelia?" "I love you."

we're all going to be so screwed when they're teenagers. But I doubt we'll mind.
